You’ll also be able to participate in YLD projects and activities[LINK] in an area that speaks to your heart. Students who volunteer gain more one-on-one time with lawyers who could become friends, colleagues and mentors. They also live the VBA mission of giving generously of themselves in service to the community and the bar.
Some examples of YLD projects are:
Law School Councils: Student chapters at the eight ABA-certified law schools in Virginia, bringing aspiring lawyers into the VBA fold
Legal Food Frenzy:
The best part – it’s free!
Practice-ready today means more than a license and a diploma. Jump-start your law career with the VBA. Student membership is free. You need only apply.
Student members can join some VBA substantive law sections for $25 a year to benefit from a closer view at a future legal specialty. And some VBA continuing legal education conferences also welcome student participation.
